COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS LEAD TO IMPACT

Manna Project_1.JPG

A big thank you to the Lynn Shoe City Lion’s Club, who prepared gift bags for our adult homeless individuals including socks, a book and a healthy snack. Special gestures like this have a huge impact on our clients - reminding them that they are not alone and have the support and encouragement not only of our dedicated and hard-working staff, but also those in the community.

Thank you to Temple Sinai and the Clifton Lutheran Church and their “Manna Project,” which engaged the support of both congregations as well as the local community to raise funds for and package over 6,000 meals for our homeless clients! Including both apple cinnamon oatmeal and rice and beans, volunteers worked with the Outreach Project, which provides everything necessary for an assembly line of volunteers to put together pre-packaged, healthy meals - easing some of the concerns of our clients. This heroic effort engaged the support of hundreds of volunteers and we are extremely grateful for the generosity and support of both congregations and community members who chipped in to help.

Thank you to Greater Lynn Senior Services, who made LSA the focus of their most recent monthly employee event - gathering donations of gently-used clothing for our clients. They were also a generous sponsor of our annual fashion show fundraiser, Succeed in Style.

Thank you to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation and the Friends of Breakheart Reservation who held a winter donation drive to collect diapers, cleaning supplies, blankets, towels and more.
