Dignity and Respect
Lynn Shelter Association is deeply committed to a model of dignity and respect that prioritizes providing stable, permanent housing as quickly as possible, regardless of a person’s personal challenges or circumstances.
This approach emphasizes immediate access to housing without preconditions or barriers, such as sobriety or participation in treatment programs.
Support services such as counseling, healthcare, and job training are offered to individuals once they are housed, rather than being a requirement for obtaining housing. This method prioritizes individual autonomy and self-determination, allowing people to have a voice in their housing options and the support services they receive.
