LSA WINS ESSEX COUNTY FOUNDATION AWARD

The Essex County Community Foundation honored the van Otterloo family of Marblehead – headed by Ejk and Rose-Marie van Otterloo – and Gloucester resident Thomas Burger of The Hamilton Group in Beverly for their support and philanthropy. 

Seven North Shore nonprofits also were recognized with grants at the foundation’s fourth annual “Celebration of Giving” May 4. Those included Building Bridges Through Music (Lynn), Groundwork Lawrence (Lawrence), the Ipswich River Watershed Association (Ipswich), Lynn Shelter Association (Lynn), Plummer Home (Salem), the House of the Seven Gables Settlement Association (Salem), and Merrimack River Watershed Council (Lawrence). 
As defined by the foundation, its mission is to strengthen the communities of Essex County by promoting philanthropy and managing charitable assets.
