Looking for a creative holiday gift?
On behalf of the Lynn Shelter Association, this project took place over a six month winter/spring season right here in Lynn. With no specific direction of what photograph, creative and self- expression using photography reminded the focus of weekly meetings. The words and images in this book have been on exhibit around Massachusetts and reflect a unique courage, humor and creative possibility that has become a timeless inspiration.

Cummings Foundation $100K for 100 Grants Program
Lynn Shelter Association was the proud recipient of a Cummings Foundation $100K for $100 grant awarded in 2015. The Cummings Foundation grant has allowed Lynn Shelter Association to operate its emergency shelter 24/7 during the winter months so people in Lynn experiencing homelessness can remain warm and dry with access to a continuum of care that leads people from homelessness to housing.
To date, Cummings Foundation has awarded more than $100 million to a diverse group of local nonprofits, and Lynn Shelter Association is honored to be a 2015 beneficiary. Pictured above is Alison Brookes, LSA Board President, accepting the LSA award from Bill Cummings at the 2015 reception.
Through its annual $100K for 100 grants program, Cummings Foundation awards 100 grants of $100,000 each to nonprofits in Middlesex, Essex and Suffolk counties.
